Embetterments can be built to raise income or to provide you with certain perks. You can build new embetterments, or buy ones currently in existence, although the frontier settlers are unlikely to be willing to sell their property without gentle 'encouragement.' Additionally, settlers will react poorly to new embetterments being built which challenge their own business, and will actively work to prevent competitors establishing themselves in their town.

Base Value - $750
Weekly Income - $40
Can recruit new members to your posse here.
Rail Station:
Base Value - $4000
Weekly Income - $500
Income can only be received if the station is connected to other towns by railroad. (Excluding El Paso Rail Station).
Railroad:
Base Value - $500 (per county crossed)
Weekly Income - N/A
Increases the income of the Rail Station by 25% per connected town.
Brothel:
Base Value - $1250
Weekly Income - $100
Illicit Activity - requires protection from the local authority, or must be underground. Underground illicit activities have a small chance of being uncovered by local authorities.
Gun Store:
Base Value - $1000
Weekly Income - $60
Owning a gun store will reduce the amount you pay for new weapons by 25%
Gambling Hall:
Base Value - $1500
Weekly Income - $150
Illicit Activity - requires protection from the local authority, or must be underground. Underground illicit activities have a small chance of being uncovered by local authorities.

Weekly Income - $25
Does not need to be built in a town.
Reduces the amount you pay for new horses by 25%
